Beyond Books

In 1984 Apple Computer, Inc. hired me to represent the company in the education market. Prior experience as a classroom teacher and a publisher’s representative helped me to explain our mission. We weren’t there to replace books or restructure the curriculum. We were there to help them to Find, Analyze, Manage, Present, and Share information. The acronym I created, F.A.M.P.S. wasn’t about a computer hardware platform. We weren’t there just to talk about the feature / benefits of Macintosh or Apple IIe.

During eleven years at Apple, and twenty plus subsequent years in various management and executive positions in the industry, I applied F.A.M.P.S. to almost every presentation, whether to a group of educators, corporate colleagues, or customers.

In 2015, I launched the Hidden Treasure Novels imprint with the publication of my debut novel. In addition to my own writing, I have an opportunity to lend my imprint to the works of fellow writers. The main criteria, work must reinforce the message that “Change happens.” You can learn more about the imprint at www.hiddentreasurenovels.com.

I also run a YouTube series called “Lessons Learned”, where I interview entrepreneurs, small business owners, corporate executives, managers, educators, and writers. The interviews usually center around writing and the notion that “change happens.”

Beyond books, I have been able to help clients identify how change impacts their community, organization, business, classroom, or book club. I offer presentation services online and onsite. Tell me more about the challenges you face. COVID is still an issue in many locations. I will work with you and/or your team to structure an appropriate venue.
